DailyMantras ("we," "our," or "us") operates the DailyMantras iOS application and the website at dailymantra.io. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app or website.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and display name.
- Mantras and journal entries: Your daily intentions, gratitudes, reflections, and day ratings are stored to provide the journaling feature.
- Favorite quotes: Quotes you save are stored to sync across your devices.
- App preferences: Your selected theme, font size, and notification settings.
Information collected automatically:
- App usage data: Anonymous crash reports and basic performance metrics to help us fix bugs and improve the app.
- Device information: iOS version and device type for compatibility purposes.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos (unless you explicitly share a quote), or any biometric data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve the DailyMantras app and its features
- Sync your mantras and favorites across your devices
- Send you notifications you've opted into (daily quotes, morning/evening reminders)
- Respond to your support requests
- Fix bugs and improve app performance
We do not use your information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with data brokers.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Your mantras and preferences are stored under your user ID and are only accessible by you.
Guest mode users have all data stored locally on their device only — nothing is sent to our servers unless you create an account.
5. Third-Party Services
DailyMantras uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Database and authentication. Privacy Policy
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — For delivering notifications to your device.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any advertising SDKs.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all associated data within 30 days.
Anonymous crash reports are retained for up to 90 days and are then automatically purged.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your data: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Delete your data: Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email privacy@dailymantra.io.
- Correct your data: Update your profile information from Settings → Account.
- Opt out of notifications: Disable notifications at any time from Settings → Notifications or iOS Settings.
- Use without an account: Use Guest Mode with no data sent to our servers.
8. Children's Privacy
DailyMantras is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at privacy@dailymantra.io and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
